Who qualifies
Eligible API organizations only; the org owner must opt in on the data sharing settings page
The catch
Your prompts and outputs are shared with OpenAI and can be used to improve its models. Not every org is eligible (you only see the offer if you are), you need a positive account balance, and Zero Data Retention accounts cannot opt in. Fine-tuning, evals and tool use are excluded; overage is billed at normal rates.

- Eligible Launch/Grow orgs: up to 1M tokens/day (first model group) and 10M/day (second group)
- Build tier orgs: up to 250K and 2.5M tokens/day
- Applies automatically to shared traffic on the listed models
- OpenAI gives 30 days notice before ending the program

- Catch: Applications are reviewed once every 3 months (March, June, September, December). Credits take 4-6 weeks to arrive and expire after 1 year with no extension. The application runs through SurveyMonkey Apply.
OpenAI Codex — Free and $8 Go plans
Codex has a $0 Free plan for quick coding tasks and a $8/month Go plan for lightweight use.
